What's the job all about?

As a medior Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for the correct, efficient, and timely processing of payroll administration. The tasks include, among others:

  • paying employee salaries before the established payment date;

  • delivering payslips on time; providing appropriate and clear communication to employees;

  • identifying and anticipating developments in laws and regulations, both towards colleagues and management;

  • and ensuring compliance with labour law and social legislation.

Additionally, you support various administrative tasks, such as processing sickness and leave notifications, onboarding and offboarding, pay rises, bonuses, and administering holiday entitlements. Annual tasks, payroll tax returns, and pension administration are also part of your responsibilities.

At Conclusion, you work within a team of around four FTEs, including a hands-on manager. You are responsible for payroll administration for labels with standard employment conditions, while gradually learning about more complex issues. You work with AFAS Profit as the payroll system and contribute to the optimisation of processes and reporting.

Collaboration is key: you support colleagues, work together with other Payroll Specialists and the team lead, and have contact with internal and external parties such as accountants and the tax authorities. As a medior Payroll Specialist, you also have an advisory role for colleagues and management regarding payroll, tax, and personnel matters, and you contribute to improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

  • You have approximately 3 years of experience in payroll administration in a role where you have mastered several aspects of the profession.

  • You have completed the Practical Diploma in Payroll Administration (PDL).

  • You possess knowledge of laws and regulations regarding payroll tax and social insurance.

  • You are well acquainted with payroll software. We use Afas, but if you have experience with other software, you will certainly learn this quickly as well!

  • You speak and write Dutch at C1 level.

Furthermore, you are accurate, analytically strong, helpful, able to cope in hectic situations, and capable of communicating clearly.
